Our Beliefs: In a day when the trend is to depart from the fundamentals of faith, Lexwin Baptist Church is committed to the reliability of God's Word. The following is a list of doctrinal truths which our Church and Church members believe and govern ourselves by:

Scripture - We accept the Scriptures of both the Old Testament and the New Testament as the verbally inspired Word of God, and that they are the supreme and only authority for faith and practice. We further believe that the King James version is the preserved Word of God and use no other translation! Furthermore, we accept the Bible as being infallible and free from error of any sort, in all matters with which it deals.

Trinity- We believe in the tri-unity of God, and that the eternal God manifests Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; we further believe that these three are one God, but separate in personality and work. We believe in the incarnation and virgin birth of Jesus, in His sinless life and in the sufficiency and substitution of His death on the cross for the sins of the whole world. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead and His ascension into heaven.

Creation- We believe in the creation of the universe and all living things by a direct act of God, apart from any so-called evolutionary process.

The Fall of Man- We believe in the fall of man and the subsequent depravity and sinfulness of the whole human race, making man incapable of personal salvation and good works before God, thus needing the Savior, CHRIST JESUS!

Justification- We believe that men are justified through faith alone and that they are counted righteous before God only through the merit of the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is wholly by grace through faith, minus nothing and plus nothing. Eph. 2: 8-10.

Resurrection- We believe in the bodily resurrection of believers to everlasting life and fellowship with God, and of non-believers to everlasting torment and punishment in Hell fire.

The Rapture- We believe in the imminent rapture of the church before the great tribulation, and Christ's personal return to establish His kingdom on earth at the conclusion of the great tribulation.

God's Plan- We believe that God's plan for this present age involves the evangelization of the world through the witness of every believer in Jesus Christ and the establishing of local churches as a means of accomplishing His purpose.

Satan- We believe in the reality of Satan, who is the enemy of God and all believers.
